Authentication of Haitian Documents
The Embassy of Haiti in London authenticates official Haitian documents for legal use in the United Kingdom and Ireland. All documents must be previously certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Haiti before being submitted to the Embassy.
General Requirements
- Original Document: Previously authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Haiti (MAE).
- Identification: Copy of the applicant's valid government-issued ID or passport.
- Authentication Form: Completed and signed Embassy authentication request form.
- Return Envelope: Self-addressed prepaid envelope (for postal requests).
- Payment Receipt: Proof of payment of the per-document authentication fee.
Eligible Documents
- Civil Records: Birth, marriage, and death certificates (extraits des archives).
- Academic Documents: Diplomas, transcripts, and certificates of study.
- Legal Documents: Powers of attorney, affidavits, and notarised acts.
- Commercial Documents: Company registrations, certificates of origin, and trade documents.
Processing Time
Standard processing takes approximately 3 to 5 business days from receipt of the complete file.
