Haiti, officially the Republic of Haiti, is a Caribbean nation that shares the island of Hispaniola with the Dominican Republic. Known as the "Pearl of the Antilles," Haiti is a land of stunning natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and remarkable historical significance.

Historical Significance

Haiti holds a unique place in world history as the first independent black republic and the second-oldest republic in the Western Hemisphere after the United States. The Haitian Revolution (1791-1804) was the only successful slave revolt in history, leading to the establishment of a free republic.
